Drop. Share. Done.

Free file transfer between your phone and your computer

Droploder is a lightweight file sharing tool built for one job: getting documents and images off one device and onto another as fast as possible. Upload your files, get a short word passphrase, and enter that passphrase anywhere else to download them. No account, no app install, no cables, no email attachments.

How to send files with Droploder

Three steps, no account, no software to install.

1Drop

Drop your files in

On the device holding your documents, drag in your documents or images — or tap to browse. Add an optional note so the recipient knows what they're getting.

2Share

Share the passphrase

Droploder generates a short word passphrase the moment your upload finishes. Read it out, text it, or type it into your other device.

3Done

Download and move on

Enter the passphrase in any browser to pull the whole batch down. Transfers sent without an account are then deleted immediately — and anything left uncollected clears out within 24 hours.

Why we built Droploder

Moving a file across the room is somehow still harder than sending it across the world. You snap a photo of a signed contract on your phone and then spend five minutes emailing it to yourself, digging out a charging cable, or logging into a cloud storage account just to open it on your laptop. Droploder removes all of that friction.

Instead of accounts, folders and sync clients, Droploder gives you a handful of random words. Drop your documents or images into the browser on one device, and the transfer becomes available to any other browser that knows the passphrase. It works phone to PC, laptop to tablet, Windows to Mac, iPhone to Android — because the only thing it needs is a web browser.

We chose words over a short numeric code on purpose. A passphrase is easy to read out loud or type on a phone keyboard, but there are far too many possible combinations for anyone to stumble into your transfer by guessing.

Your files themselves live in private storage rather than behind a public link. Entering the correct passphrase opens a short download session, and each file is served through a one-off link that expires within minutes — so there is no URL left over afterwards that still works.

It's especially useful for scanned paperwork, receipts and expense reports, signed forms, screenshots, ID documents, design assets, and photo batches you need to edit on a bigger screen. Because every transfer expires on its own and is then permanently deleted, sensitive documents don't quietly accumulate in a shared drive for years.

You don't need an account — but there's one if you want it

Sending files as a guest is the whole product, not a trial. You get up to 20 files per transfer at 25MB each — PDFs, Word and Excel documents, PowerPoint decks, text files and images — and a random passphrase. Guest transfers are locked to the most private setup we offer: single use, deleted the moment your recipient downloads them, with a 24-hour ceiling if nobody ever collects them.

A free account raises those ceilings to 50 files per transfer at 50MB each, and adds controls rather than restrictions. You can shorten the retention window to 1 or 5 hours, allow repeat downloads for a transfer several people need, and see every transfer you've sent in My Transfers — where you can revoke a passphrase instantly, or regenerate a new one if the old words reached the wrong person.

Everything Droploder does today is free, with or without an account. The plans page lays out exactly what each tier includes.

Why people use Droploder

A focused alternative to bulky cloud storage and clunky email attachments.

Instant file transfer

Upload once, retrieve anywhere in seconds. No syncing, no waiting for an email attachment to land.

No signup required

Share files online without creating an account, installing an app, or handing over your email address.

Phone to PC in one step

Move photos and scanned documents from mobile to desktop without cables, AirDrop, or messaging yourself.

Passphrase-protected retrieval

Each transfer is locked behind a randomly generated word passphrase — easy to read out loud, impractical to guess.

Private storage by default

Files are never publicly readable. Each download gets its own link, minted on request and expiring within minutes.

Deleted on collection

Transfers sent without an account are single-use: the moment the recipient downloads them, the files are gone.

Retention you choose

Uncollected transfers clear out within 24 hours. A free account shortens that to 1 or 5 hours, or allows repeat downloads.

Documents and images

PDFs, Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, text and CSV, plus every common image format — 25MB each, or 50MB signed in.

Transfer history and control

A free account keeps a list of your transfers, so you can revoke a passphrase or regenerate a new one at any time.

Batch document sharing

Send up to 20 documents and images together, or 50 with a free account — one passphrase retrieves the whole set.

Built on audited infrastructure

Droploder is built on Base44, whose platform carries independent security certification. Your files sit in private storage on that infrastructure and are deleted on collection or expiry.

SOC 2 Type II

Runs on infrastructure audited to SOC 2 Type II standards.

ISO 27001

Hosted on ISO 27001 certified infrastructure.

GDPR

GDPR-aligned handling, with a Data Processing Agreement available.
